Scope and Contents

Contains photographs of paintings in the Brigham Young University art collection, as well as giving information about each painting and the style in which it was painted. Some of these paintings, although they were masterpieces, were never able to be displayed because the university lacked proper facilities. This booklet was meant to cast light on this problem and to raise support for a museum of art on campus.

Materials include three departmental photographs depicting faculty members of the College of Fine Arts and Communications at Brigham Young University, including faculty from the Theatre and Media Arts Department, the Dance Department, and the School of Music. Dated 2009-2011.

The collection contains negatives and photographs of various performances from the College of Fine Arts and Communications. Topics include music and dance programs. Materials date from between 1967 and 1968.

Contains photographs of dance classes, people looking through a telescope, and James Stewart's visit to BYU. Also contains a short video on DVD of people looking through the telescope and a compact disc with photographs of BYU broadcasting.

Contains correspondence, musical scores, essays, and speeches, mainly on religious topics, dated 1949 to 1980. Correspondence pertains to the publication of de Jong's book, Eternal Progress. Also includes a ledger de Jong kept from 1915 to 1918 to track payments received from students for music lessons.
